Inspiration: The Birds and the Bees

You guys sure do love painting nature, and we sure do love encouraging you to do so! Two themes that pop up quite a lot are beautiful colourful birds and adorable fuzzy bees. 🐝🕊️ Below, we’ve put together a selection of our favourite examples of our little winged pals from our Facebook Hall of Fame.

Inspiration: Puppy and Kitty Love

Here at the Painting Pottery Cafe, there is a very firm divide between cat and dog people. 🐱🐶🐕🐈 We’ve noticed that our customers follow this divide, too, and often want to paint lovely portraits of their pets. Just in case you’re looking to do something similar, here are a few of our favourite examples from recent years!

Reflections from the Past Year - Plans for the Coming Year….

We’re so looking forward to 2020! We’ve got lots of really exciting Evening Classes lined up for you guys, as well as our usual Fringe fun. Also on the horizon is a Kids’ After School Clay Club (we’re still working on the snappy name…) and of course our Gallery 31 space featuring local artists.

Artist Spotlight: Star Pottery

We thought we’d been around a while (this year marks our 20th Anniversary), but Mohamed Hamid and his associates have been around for even longer - a whopping 30 years! In that time they’ve perfected a style which we love, based around beautiful colours and brushy marks.
