We’ve put a lot of focus on painters recently, so it’s time to shine some light on the shape of ceramics instead! With that in mind, we’re excited to introduce you to the talented Florian Gadsby. Let’s take a look.
Florian has worked with clay since he was at school, having gone to a school which places as much importance on practical and artistic classes as Maths and English.
He trained professionally for years, going through several apprenticeships. He even spent six months learning from Ken Matsuzaki in Japan!
Florian also spent three years learning from Lisa Hammond in Greenwich.
Both of their influences are visible in Florian’s work, which has a really clean, practical feel to it.
One thing we particularly love about Florian’s Instagram is that he takes the time to talk his audience through every step of his making process, with detailed photos and explanations.
