SCHOOLS AND CHARITY GROUPS
With seating for up to 40 people we can easily welcome whole class groups. We have experienced studio assistants to help your own staff.
Each student will create a souvenir of their trip to Brighton!
For groups of 6 or more we have put together special discounted deals for nonprofit groups/charities/schools/language schools, as follows (painting mugs is usually £25-£28 pp):
A selection of mugs to choose from, one mug per person. Fully paid upon booking, we require 48 hours notice minimum before the start of the session to be able to offer refunds if numbers drop or the booking needs to be cancelled. The below prices are subject to change if you are making a booking enquiry over 6 months before your session.
6-12 attendees £26 pp (+1 free leader)
13-20 attendees £24 pp (+2 free leaders)
21-40 attendees £22 pp (+3 free leaders)
The pottery is then glazed and is ready to pick up 7 days later :)
Our downstairs space is down some twisty stairs so is not accessible by wheelchair, so if anyone in the group has any access needs do let us know so we can plan our tables out to suit your group. Our ground floor seats up to around 20, our downstairs seats up to 20 too.
We do our bookings by 2 hour sessions that start at 10:30am, 1pm and 3:30pm on weekdays.
To enquire further please email us bookings@paintingpotterycafe.co.uk indicating the size of your group, what date and time you are looking at, if you have any access requirements, and what type of group you are/ages of attendees. We will get back to you within 48 hours.
(For groups of 5 people or less please book in for our standard pottery painting booking here, where each person pays a £5 studio fee, plus the price of the pottery which ranges from £13-£45 (most items are between £18-£25), which you pick out on the day. We take a £10 deposit to hold the table which comes off the final bill at the end of the session. )
Location:
You’ll find us in the heart of Brighton’s North Laines – just a 10 minute walk from the train station, or 15 minutes from the pier. We don’t have onsite parking; however we are surrounded by private car parks. There is also a loading bay opposite (outside of John Edwards hair Salon) that is perfect for dropping off and picking up.
You can’t miss our pink and green exterior, but in case you do here’s a map.
Fancy taking a peak around before you arrive? Take a look at our virtual tour. Groups of 8+ are generally seated downstairs so let us know if you have any access requirements.
What to expect:
When you arrive our studio assistants will guide your students through the process of creating their masterpiece, explaining how the materials work (they’re much cooler than normal paints!)
Your host will fill the students full of inspiration, with bundles of tips and tricks on design and painting their piece. They will be close by throughout your session to host and answer any questions.
Pottery is glazed and fired after your party, ready for you to collect at a later date. Ideally you will allow at least 48hrs for collection as one big box.
